Being into web development, you are faced with a variety of options. Many of these methods involve embedding code into HTML pages with special tags that signal to a preprocessor that they contain code, and that it should do something with it. Like CGI, then this code is run on the server and returns some specific data, which then becomes a part of the HTML page sent back to the user browser. Both the open source scripting language PHP and languages within Microsoft’s ASP.NET framework fall into this category
